92nd Street Y is a world-class nonprofit community and cultural center that connects people at every stage of life to the worlds of education, the arts, health and wellness, and Jewish life. 92Y’s extraordinary programs offer an outstanding range of experiences in the performing, literary and visual arts for both audiences and practitioners; unparalleled access to celebrated artists, teachers, and thinkers; and a place to pursue personal journeys, whether spiritual, physical, or intellectual.
The Unterberg Poetry Center at 92Y provides a showcase for established and emerging talent, a platform for literary retrospectives and a testing ground for works-in-progress. Each year, it hosts a reading series of approximately 30 events, the lecture series Books and Bagels, a writing program, and outreach programs to public high school students and adult literacy students. Adrian Brinkerhoff Poetry Foundation is delighted to count Unterberg Poetry Center as a partner in producing films of poems by Mahogany Browne, Seamus Heaney, and others to come.
