Meriem Ahmed is an Irish-Egyptian poet and writer. She wrote her first poetry collection, Truth Be Told, at 19, releasing it three years later. Ahmed’s poems have been published in the Qutub Minar Review and will be featured in Broken Sleep Books’ Crossing Lines: An Anthology of Immigrant Poetry in January 2021.
Ahmed values most the vulnerability in her words and believes it to be the most crucial aspect in her work. She intends her dedication to authentic storytelling to act as a reminder to her readers that they are never alone in the world. Ahmed currently resides in Wicklow, Ireland.
