Caitríona Ennis

Actress Caitríona Ennis grew up in the Dublin suburb of Crumlin. As a child, she appeared in Bugsy Malone at the Olympia Theatre, which ignited her passion for acting. She studied at University College Dublin and the Dublin Academy of Dramatic Arts.

Ennis has performed widely on the Irish stage, particularly with the Abbey Theatre, Fishamble, and the Corn Exchange. Most recently, she appeared in Druid O’Casey’s Gerry Hynes–directed Dublin Plays Juno and the Paycock and The Shadow of a Gunman, continuing onto the national tour for the latter; Duck Duck Goose at Fishamble (directed by Jim Culleton); and 14 Voices from the Bloodied Field at The Abbey (dir. Jo Mangan). Ennis has been nominated four times for Best Actress in the Irish Times Theatre Awards and once for Best Supporting Actress.

Ennis appeared in the films Kissing Candice (2017) and We Ourselves (2018) and has been cast as a lead in the upcoming Screen Ireland Focus Short Like Me. On television, she has appeared in Northern Lights (2023) and Clean Sweep (2023). She lives in Dublin, where she teaches at the Dublin Academy of Dramatic Arts.
