Shakeel Haakim

Shakeel Haakim is an actor of Caribbean heritage born and raised in Ealing, West London. After finishing his A-levels in 2013, he knew he wanted to explore an acting career and applied for several drama schools, but he decided to try other routes into the industry. Haakim went on to perform in various youth theatres such as the National Youth Theatre and the Lyric Ensemble.

In 2021, after the pandemic shutdowns eased, Haakim decided to pursue drama school again after being accepted into the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA). While halfway through his final year at RADA, he landed the role of Pitch in the highly successful West End run of For Black Boys Who Have Considered Suicide When the Hue Gets Too Heavy in 2024.
